Strength Through Being a Non-Anxious Presence (#BoulderStrong)

After the murders of 10 people in a grocery store in our community last year, I asked my friend Justin Michael Williams to share his song Believe with the Faith community I was serving in addition to joining me in holding a space for healing. I would rather that I would never have to reshare this under such horrible circumstances as the murder by gun violence of 10 other people, this time in Buffalo and targeting Black people in particular. But in the hopes that this message and amazing song might serve others, I am posting it again with love.

The Roofless Church

In the wake of tragedies that expose our vulnerabilities and limitations, as what we witnessed here in Boulder after the shooting at King Soopers, we often find ourselves looking back and wishing we were stronger. With this message, we explore transforming our pain and past weaknesses through the decision to consciously become a non-anxious presence.

My thanks to Justin Michael Williams for joining us and sharing his song, Believe.
