On May 21, 2023, I accepted the opportunity to give a Jesus and Justice Talk at Heart of Longmont. It was inspired by the Good Samaritan Story and asked the question, “What would it be like if we lived in A NATION OF NEIGHBORS?”
I am posting that question to you here now.
We also discussed if Jordan Neely and Daniel Penny would have had the encounter they did in such A NATION OF NEIGHBORS.
I was joined by filmmaker, Katrina Dawn Miller, (This Is [Not] Who We Are). This is only my portion. For the full service visit https://www.youtube.com/c/HeartofLongmont/live

I sure think Mr. Penny was almost a hero. Almost. I sense strongly that he did not mean to kill, did not plan to kill, but at the same time, why on earth did he think he could just keep choking the man?
I struggle with that one.
Hey…
What would it be like if God went on a TV talk show? Wanna see for yourself?

Jesus said, “Forgive them for they know not what they do.” I think that wherever we do harm, it is unintentional from the perspective of our soul. But, since no one was touched by Mr. Neely, I wouldn’t call Penny an almost hero. A hero would have bought him a sandwich and a drink. Perhaps $5.
