Dealing With Privilege and Playing the Cards You Were Dealt

The subject of privilege is confusing. When some people hear it, it brings up all sorts of complex feelings. I have some personal feelings about how the term is used. But I don’t really get into it here. With this video I am making an attempt to bridge a chasm that many of us face when we confront the ideas of “self determinism” and historical hurdles in this country. This may get a little messy as I make efforts to talk about this complex subject in a way that is accessible to the most people possible. I am holding many audiences in my consciousness. So I may come off as being too diplomatic. But my intent is to simply be invitational.
